Terms of Use
Ride Beyond · Effective 17 September 2026 · Replaces the
18 August 2026 version
Ride Beyond is a motorcycle ride-planning and ride-tracking app run by an
individual developer (Ioan Grozea, Romania). By creating an account or using
the app you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose — please
actually read them, especially the safety part.
Ride safely — the app is not in charge
- Navigation is assistive, not authoritative. Routes,
turn instructions, surface estimates, speed-limit and hazard alerts can be
wrong, outdated or missing. Road signs, traffic law and your own judgement
always come first. You are solely responsible for riding legally and
safely.
- Adventure and off-road routing especially. Trails
suggested by the app may be rougher, steeper, closed, private or more
dangerous than estimated. Difficulty grades are estimates built partly
from other riders' data and are not a promise that a route is safe or
legal for you.
- Fall detection is best-effort and is not an emergency
service. It may miss real falls and flag things that were not
falls. It never calls emergency services. Do not rely on it for rescue.
- Community content is unverified. Hazard reports,
difficulty grades and shared routes come from other riders and can be
wrong or stale.
- Do not operate the phone while riding. Set up your ride before you
set off.
Beta service, provided as-is
Ride Beyond is a small, evolving service. It is provided as-is and
as-available, without warranties of any kind. Features may change or be
removed, the service may be interrupted, and despite best efforts data may
be lost — export anything you cannot afford to lose. To the maximum extent
permitted by law, the operator's liability for any damages arising from
using the app is excluded; nothing in these terms limits liability that
cannot lawfully be excluded.
Your account and your content
- You must be at least 17 and provide accurate account information.
Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for activity on your
account.
- Content you add (rides, photos, captions, reports, roadbooks) stays
yours. You give the service permission to store and display it as the app
is designed to — to you, to friends you choose, and anonymously in the
community map and route pool as described in the
Privacy Policy.
- Only share content you have the right to share. No unlawful,
harassing or deliberately false content — deliberately false hazard
reports put other riders at risk and are grounds for removal.
- No objectionable content, and no abusive riders.
Usernames, photos, captions and posts that are hateful, sexual, violent,
harassing or otherwise objectionable are not allowed. You can report a rider
or a post from inside the app and block a rider yourself. Reports are
reviewed within 24 hours; content that breaks these rules is removed and the
account that posted it is removed from the service. You can also write to
ioan.grozea@gmail.com.
- Location while you ride. While a ride you started is
running (a recording, or turn-by-turn navigation) the app keeps receiving
location with the screen off or the app in the background, and stops when
you finish. The Privacy Policy has the detail.
- Connect only accounts (such as Garmin) that are yours.
Ending things
You can stop using the app and delete your account (and all its data)
at any time under Profile → Settings → Delete account. The operator may
suspend or close accounts that abuse the service or these terms, and may
discontinue the service; where reasonably possible, notice will be given
in the app first.
Changes and contact
If these terms change materially, the effective date above is updated
and the change is announced in the app. Questions:
